Jeremy Ryan –
For some time now, I’ve been working outside when it’s nice out. However, the issue has always been seeing details on the computer screen. If I position myself in a somewhat shaded area, I can usually make out enough to get most work done. However, getting design work outside has not been too feasible until now.
After doing some research, I found that my laptop only has 200 nits (measurement of screen brightness) and it should really be at least 500 nits for outside in sun use.
It was suggested that an external monitor would be a great option that is light weight, high resolution, matte screen and high brightness.
The UPERFECT Portable Monitor fits all of these. It has as a 16-inch 3840×2400 4K monitor, 1200 cd/m² brightness, matte screen, IPS, 16:10, 14W rated power, 1.8 lb, with USB-C and mini-HDMI. That is a different class from normal portable monitors. Most cheap portable monitors are 220–300 nits. This one is advertised specifically as sunlight-readable.
I decided to give it a try and just got mine this week. It’s actually better than I expected, it is so easy to read all my emails, work on design projects, edit graphics, etc.
It’s incredibly light, I can just lean it against my existing laptop screen and it even has little rubber feet to hold it in place.
Definitely recommend!
