STESY | Forgive Me Father (I Have Synths)

Great song! Addictive tune. Cracked up at the end of the video. Love these newer fun metal bands! Just recently found out about this band. They’re from Austria. Synthmetal/Partymetal, which I’m really getting into recently (Electric Callboy, Samurai Pizza Cats, The Browning).

STESY is a metal band from Austria known for pioneering a high-energy hybrid style they call “partycore.” The group began in 2012 under the name Stendhal Syndrome, drawing early attention in the local metal scene for their mix of modern aggression and electronic flair. By late 2016, the members decided to simplify their identity and adopted the name SteSy, later stylized as STESY, signaling a shift toward a more cohesive and accessible image while keeping their distinctive sound intact.

Musically, STESY combines heavy guitar riffs, rhythmic breakdowns, and harsh vocals with layers of synth and techno influences. The result is an unconventional blend of metal intensity and club atmosphere. Their live performances reflect the same philosophy—fueled by stage gadgets, lighting effects, and audience interaction, each show aims to feel as much like a party as a concert. The band cites groups such as Electric Callboy, While She Sleeps, Parkway Drive, and Enter Shikari as influences, yet they have developed a sound and presentation that are unmistakably their own.
